1. ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age and older. Employees, officers and directors of Dick’s Sporting Goods (“Sponsor”), Promotion Mechanics, Inc. (“Administrator”), their subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and the immediate family members (spouses and parents, children and siblings and their spouses, regardless of where they live) or members of the same households (whether related or not) of such individuals (collectively “Sponsor and its agents”) are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

2. TO ENTER: The “Field & Stream Field Tested * Guide Approved Great Gear Giveaway” (“Sweepstakes”) begins on February 22, 2008 and ends on November 16, 2008.  Official Entry Forms will be available at Dick’s Sporting Goods locations that are participating in the 2008 Outdoor Adventure Tour.  Ask at your nearest Dick’s Sporting Goods to see if the Outdoor Adventure Tour is coming to your area.  To enter, complete an Official Entry Form available at the Outdoor Adventure Tour display and place it in the sweepstakes entry box by the close of business on the date posted.  You also may enter the sweepstakes by mailing your Official Entry Form to the address given below, or by hand printing your name, complete address, phone number and date of birth on a postcard and mailing it to:  “Field & Stream Field Tested * Guide Approved Great Gear Giveaway”, PO Box 3570, Southbury, CT  06488-3570.  Mailed entries must be postmarked by November 17, 2008 and received by November 22, 2008.  No mechanical reproduction of entries permitted.  Regardless of method of entry, there is a limit one entry per person per day.

3. PRIZE: On or about December 1, 2008, the Administrator, an independent judging organization, will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received to award the following prizes:
One (1) Grand Prize: $5,000 in Dick’s Sporting Goods Field & Stream gear. One
(1) First Prize: $2,500 in Dick’s Sporting Goods Field & Stream gear. One
(1) Second Prize: $1,000 in Dick’s Sporting Goods Field & Stream gear. One
(1) Third Prize: $500 in Dick’s Sporting Goods Field & Stream gear.
Prizes will be awarded in the form of Dick’s Sporting Goods gift cards, subject to terms and conditions printed on card. Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received. Limit one prize per household.

Winners will be notified by email, phone, postal mail and/or express mail at Sponsor’s sole discretion. If a potential winner fails to respond within timeframe specified in notification letter, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Winners will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, liability release and (where legal) publicity release, which must be returned within time period specified in notification letter or an alternate winner may be selected. If a winner is 18 or older, as is required for entry, but not of the age of majority in state of residence, prize will either be awarded in the name of parent or legal guardian, or parent or legal guardian must ratify and sign any and all documents required of winner.

4. GENERAL: By participating, entrants agree [a] to these rules and decisions of Sponsor and judges, which shall be final in all respects relating to this sweepstakes; and [b] to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor and its agents from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from their participation in the sweepstakes or their acceptance, use or misuse of prize including, without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage; and if a winner, [c] to permit Sponsor and its agents to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, voice likeness and city and state address for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in all media, including but not limited to on air and within Sponsor’s website, in perpetuity, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) and agree to execute specific consent to such use in writing upon request. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, incomplete, illegible or postage-due entries or mail. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend the sweepstakes or any portion thereof should causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the promotion, in which case prizes will be awarded via a random drawing from among all eligible entries received prior to cancellation. Entry information becomes property of Sponsor. No prize transfer or cash redemption. No prize substitution except by Sponsor due to unavailability in which case a prize of comparable or greater value will be awarded.

5. WINNER LIST: For a list of winners, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to be received by December 31, 2008 to: “Field & Stream Field Tested * Guide Approved Great Gear Giveaway” Winners, PMI Station, PO Box 750, Southbury, CT 06488-0750.
